Jack Kerouac is one of the most enigmatic writers of our recent history. The myth never stops flowing from who he was (or was made out to be), and who he really might have been. It's odd that Kerouac began a left-wing, alternative lifestyle movement, except he himself was completely conservative and abhorred that very movement. So many oddities about him...he'll forever remain mysterious, hopefully, because that's the greatest thing about him. Oh, and his writing isn't terrible either. I've written a lot on Mr. Kerouac at www.adamluebke.blogspot.com He's forever a fountain of inspiration.
